A Fantastic Night At Vie De Boheme!

JPJQ's album "I Want Love" launched in high style at Vie de Boheme Wine Bar in Portland on May 4th... the room is lovely and the band sounded great! I was so thrilled that we had such a warm, receptive audience and everyone had a lovely time. Special thanks to all who attended - after paying the band and the wonderful photographer, we even made a little money! We hope to return to this beautiful venue soon, and introduce it (and ourselves) to even more people!

What's Next for JPJQ?

As of yesterday, all the copies of the CD destined for our Indiegogo supporters have been packaged, and we just have to get them in the mail! Stay tuned, intrepid fans!

On the 23rd of June, JPJQ (Team Vancouver) will be celebrating the Canadian launch of "I Want Love" (as well as promoting two of our dear friends' ongoing CD projects) at the Fox Cabaret! The show will be called "Two in the Pipe, One in the Can" (yes, Adam LOVES that name... and I agree that it's pretty funny) - so make your plans now! It's a Thursday night, but we promise it won't be going til all hours, so you'll still be able to drag your butts into work the next morning!

What's Up With ME?

Well, in addition to all that, Martin Henry and Freedom Street  have been busy recording a demo to shop around and get more gigs, and I'm thrilled that we're going to be pretty busy making music all summer long - gigs almost every week in July and August so far! Check out the "Calendar" page on my website to see where and when we're playing.

I'm also wrapping up the school year with my students (I'm currently teaching for Between the Lines, 4/4 School of Music, Music Man Studios, Musical Beginnings, and Reverb Lessons) which means prepping a whole bunch of kids for recitals and trying to determine which of them are going to want to continue over the summer! I'm hoping to be able to streamline my schedule a little bit for next year... and maybe have a day off! (Maybe even 1 or 2 every single week! SHOCKING!)

The weather in Portland has been beautiful so far this spring - it feels a lot like summer already, and I'm looking forward to finally having a bit of time to enjoy it - haven't broken out the lawnchair yet, but maybe next week!
